Power Conversion Systems · 30 kW → 10 MW

Bidirectional PCS,
built from modules.

Every TOBOR BESS is converted by TOBOR power modules: 30 kW MTX and 50 / 60 kVA MTX Hybrid PMs for commercial sites, 125 kW PTX modules paralleled up to 2 MW for industry, and one 125 kW PCS module per battery rack inside CTX containers, stacked to 10 MW at 33 kV.

TOBOR power conversion scales by paralleling identical bidirectional modules. The same 125 kW PM that runs a PTX system on a factory floor sits on every battery rack in a CTX container. Fewer spares, one controls stack, one service team.

Response times,
without the fine print.

Not every PCS switches the same way, and we don't pretend it does. Here's what each module family actually does when the grid fails or the dispatch signal flips.

The MTX Hybrid carries a built-in switching device: grid ↔ off-grid mode transfer happens in under 10 ms, with 100% unbalanced-load support on the 400 / 230 V four-wire output.

The PTX 125 kW PM reverses from full charge to full discharge in under 20 ms — that's dispatch speed. Islanding on a grid outage is handled by external PCC switching, engineered to your site's single-line diagram.

The MTX Standard 30 kW PM restarts automatically from the battery in about 30–40 seconds — the right fit for loads that tolerate a short interruption, and for peak management where backup is secondary.

Questions and answers

What power conversion does a TOBOR BESS use?
TOBOR systems are built from bidirectional power modules: a 30 kW isolated PM in MTX Standard cabinets, a 50/60 kVA hybrid PM with two MPPTs in the MTX Hybrid, and a 125 kW PM in PTX systems from 125 kW to 2 MW. CTX containers use one 125 kW PCS module per battery rack — 20 per 2.5 MW CTX-5000 and 80 in the 10 MW CTX-B20 block.
How do PTX systems scale to 2 MW?
The 125 kW PTX power module (98.5% peak efficiency, 680–900 V battery window) is paralleled into systems of 125 kW, 250 kW, 500 kW and 1 MW. The 2 MW PTX-2000 runs as two 1 MW groups of eight modules each.
How fast does the PCS transfer or respond?
It depends on the module family. The MTX Hybrid transfers between grid and off-grid modes in under 10 ms. The PTX 125 kW module reverses from charge to discharge in under 20 ms; grid-outage islanding is handled by external PCC switching engineered for the site. The MTX Standard 30 kW module restarts automatically in about 30–40 seconds. The CTX-B20 block achieves full power reversal in under 100 ms.
Can the PCS integrate solar?
Yes. The MTX Hybrid 50/60 kVA module has two MPPT inputs of 38.4 kW each with a 200–800 V MPPT window. Larger PTX and CTX systems integrate with site solar, DG and EV charging through the TOBOR EMS.
Do you offer smaller inverters?
Yes — the compact HTX range: 3, 3.6 and 4.2 kW pure-sine power modules on a 48 V LFP battery class, parallelable up to three identical modules, plus the HTX Solar 2.4 kW with an integrated MPPT.
